Internationally acclaimed pianist Irina Bazik has been performing all over the world since she was 8 years old. She has been heard in concert halls in Serbia, Slovenia, Austria, Sweden, Ukraine, Italy, France and United States. For her performance at the famous Steinert Hall in Boston, the press lauded her “great expression, sensitivity and incredible technique”.
In August, 2015 Irina released a new album "Encore" performing works by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Khachaturian and was nominated for an award by Tesla's People Foundation in the category "Up and coming" as one of the most successful Serbian artists in United States.
Irina Bazik won an admirable number of first prizes at International Piano Competitions in Serbia, Italy and France. She performed as a soloist with the Belgrade National Radio Symphony ,Symphony of Yugoslav Army, Sinfonia Perugina (Italy), Eclypse Symphony (USA) and collaborated with many renowned artists. Most recently her trio "European Concert Trio" won the National Beverly Hills Auditions in Los Angeles. Irina's passion for chamber music lead to an invitation to open a concert season at the Newport Music Festival in Rhode Island in the summer of 2009.
A champion of new music, she colaborated with renowned composers from Berklee College of Music, NEC and Longy School of Music, where she was named the Ambassador of the school in 2009. She premiered a great number of contemporary music at most prestigious concert venues in Boston- Jordan Hall, Sanders Theater and Berklee Performance Center amongst other.
Irina Bazik was the youngest student ever to be admitted to Belgrade Music Academy where she earned Masters degree at the age of 20. Immediately after that Irina moved to Boston where, thanks to a full merit scholarship she graduated with Graduate Performance Diploma under Michael Lewin.
Throughout the years Irina had won admirable amount of prizes. Together with winning a great number of first prizes at International Competitions, she was named the Honorary Citizen of Cukarica, Belgrade, and for many years she was a stipend of Serbian Ministry of Culture for incredible achievements in music field. Belgrade Music Academy awarded her for being the most talented piano student and an artist with the most promising future.
Irina currently lives in Los Angeles where she continues to develop her career under the Artist Visa for extraordinary ability in the arts.
